And finally, the FCC has some strict rules about what you need to do to justify having your comments hidden from the public, including naming the specific “substantial” harms and giving a deadline for when the comments could come to light.
You can adopt up to five puppies, and then play with up to two of them at a time. Touch Pets also uses the Plus+ network so if you have friends with Touch Pets your puppies can visit each other and have playdates. I haven’t actually tried out this feature and I opted not to have all my puppy statuses published on my Facebook page, but that’s an option too.
Kansas has some of the most lax gun policies in the country. (“It’s like the Wild West,” Mike Shimeall says.) No permit, registration, or license is necessary to own a gun or carry loaded weapons in public. As of July 1, public hospitals and universities are generally required to allow concealed weapons. As Purinton zoomed toward Austins on that Wednesday night, he could have a loaded handgun in his car without a permit. It would have been illegal only if he was carrying it while drunk.
Following up on my Comic-Con Round-Up for Kids, I have a whole lot of things for older geeklets. There were some hits and some misses, but here are things I thought were worth mentioning, good, bad, or ugly. Some of these I’ll do a more in-depth review later on.
And now NASA hopes that an exhibit of Naroznik’s flower illustrations will inspire youngsters visiting the Johnson Space Center in Houston to become future space pioneers, something Star Trek has done since the 1960s.
PhZilla allows you to right-click a hyperlink to open it via a proxy server, which is useful, and it also allows you to reload your current page through a proxy. However, I was not able to find a setting to load all sites through a proxy. One can’t expect a child to patiently load every page through a proxy manually, so this is a notable omission.
Earlier this year, Muxtape, a website which allowed users to post and share MP3s, rocketed to popularity. Then the Recording Industry

Concert webcasts are still fraught with technological glitches, with users often complaining of buffering problems, interrupted streams and problems getting connected. But the experience is improving, especially for people with broadband connections, said Launch.com CEO David Goldberg in a Wired News Radio interview earlier in the week.
As for the art of storytelling, Eisner says Prom Queen isn’t as clichéd as it sounds. The premise: A near-murder mystery set against the final two months of the school year tracks a pack of randy high schoolers as they ramp up for prom night. Don’t worry: As Eisner reminds us, he’s the guy who gave us Welcome Back Kotter and Happy Days. He knows this market.
[…] I don’t even get how this is art, it’s just BS word soup to justify ill-conceived ideas, and I’m an artist, so it’s not like I’m reactive simply because I don’t understand art.
Me: No, not at all. I know there are probably hundreds or thousands of people out there that are as interested as I am.
“The regional parties are going to play a big role,” Uttamchandani says, “everybody knows it’s not going to be a clear majority for anyone this time. because the market is so divided, there’s a regional party almost every 100 kilometers, and strong regional parties, not just dummies or something. So it’s going to be a competition, so what we do is look at the important candidates of these regional parties.”
“Shonen” is the Japanese term for “boy’s stories” which means they are action-oriented, most feature fantasy or science fiction elements and they tend to have boys or young men as the main character. But in many cases, they also have strong female casts. I’ve found more diverse roles for women in shonen manga than I often find in DC or Marvel superhero comics.
In Kelly’s world – a perfect world – limited anonymity is enough because the only people who would harm you are individuals who cannot learn your identity, and not those in power who can.
Whoever was on Approval Duty at Apple that day obviously saw the name “Kama Sutra” in the list of downloadable books and had such a knee-jerk reaction that they likely smashed in their own teeth, believing that the book is some kind of sex manual (it isn’t, although it does contain some sex advice – take a look at an issue of Cosmopolitan if you want some real, juicy sex talk). After the now familiar fuss, accompanied by blog posts and Twitter tweets, Apple has relented and allowed Eucalyptus into its inner sanctum of taste.
About half the so-called “blogozine” will be devoted to the most provocative posts on his website. The rest of the magazine will feature longer articles about technology’s future and interviews with the likes of Microsoft (MSFT) founder Bill Gates and Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) chief executive Carly Fiorina.

“This is deep in PearPC’s code, and the name was picked at random by PearPC’s developers but it’s also present in CherryOS,” Schroeder said. “I just can’t believe they appear to be going forward with this, because even if he changes every variable name, it will easily be proven as being PearPC by the PearPC guys, if it’s ever released.”
“It’s very difficult to create a new daily newspaper in a market that’s already being well served by a newspaper,” he said, adding that in Seattle, where there are two competing papers already, it would be even harder to succeed.
